Environmental Stewardship
and Clean Regattas

Our club's mission is to help members enjoy the beauty of San Francisco Bay and its environs. We all win with better water, air and shoreline quality of our bay and oceans. Plus, it's the right thing to do

The Club and its members engage in environmentally friendly practices (see below). We also partner with Sea Scavenger Conservancy on local shoreline cleanup.

In cooperation with US SAILING and Sailors for the Sea, South Beach Yacht Club participates in the international Clean Regattas Program. Sailors for the Sea is a nonprofit organization that educates and empowers boaters to protect and restore our oceans and coastal waters.

Our Clean Regattas Pledge

We pledge our commitment to clean waters and shores by participating in Sailors for the Sea’s Clean Regattas program. We vow to fulfill, and encourage others to fulfill, the goals and requirements of Clean Regattas as set forth by Sailors for the Sea, and to work to protect and restore our waters for the use and enjoyment of current and future generations.
