Kids and teens can learn skills that they will use for the rest of their lives... both on and off the water.
If your child is age 9 to 17, can swim 50 yards, and is really interested, he or she can learn to sail with other kids their own age in a fun and safe environment on San Francisco Bay in McCovey Cove!
Cost: $360 per week. June 19 - August 11, 2017.
Here's an opportunity for your child to learn water safety, basic boating and sailing skills, sportsmanship, teamwork, self-reliance and self-esteem.
Learn basic sailing skills from experienced sailing instructors certified by U.S. Sailing
Kids will learn to sail in both single and double handed boats
Conveniently located in sunny, South Beach Yacht Club Harbor and McCovey Cove
Scholarships available for those in need
Sailboats provided: RS Tera, JY Trainer, Laser 4.7 and CFJ
Small class size, for one on one and group teaching
Yacht Club membership Not required
All campers must bring a bag lunch Monday - Thursday. Water and fresh fruit/ snack bars provided daily.
Each Friday there is a Regatta at noon with BBQ and Awards at 3pm (family viewing at McCovey Cove), Awards & BBQ ceremony held at the South Beach Yacht Club on the deck.
**Each one week session is from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m, Monday thru Friday. Don't miss the Regatta, Awards and family BBQ on Friday!
